Open Classrooms
Open Classrooms are an opportunity for parents to visit their children’s class to review the work in the exercise books. The classrooms will be open from 8.40 to 9.10am, access and exit is through the usual doors the children use to enter the school in the morning. Please ensure you are ready and all exercise books are marked and on display.
• Tuesday 2nd July - Open classrooms for Year One, Year Three and Year Four classes
• Wednesday 3rd July - Open classrooms for Year Five and Year Six classes
• Thursday 4th July – Open classrooms for Reception and Year Two classes
General Election
The Training Room/NIPA space will be used as a Polling station on Thursday 4th July for the General Election. The school will remain open as usual on the day as this facility is separate from the main school.
End of year reports and Parent Consultations
End of year reports will be sent out electronically to you at 8pm on Friday 5th July. Some year groups will also get additional papers for test results at a different time. These will not be given to children. Teachers will give these to any adult collecting, as long as they are one of the usual contacts you are familiar with.
Inside the reports will also be the news of the children’s next class teacher. The new class allocations will be published on the notice boards after school on Friday 12th July.
Children in Years One and Two will also receive the results of their Phonics Screening Check.
The Year Six SATs results are published on 9th July. We believe the report on the results will be available a few days after that. We will advise the children and parents of this news, when ready.
All class teachers need to be available online between 3:45 and 4:45pm on Thursday 11th July, to talk to any parent who wishes to discuss the report. Login details for this meeting will be shared with you nearer the time by the class teachers.
Music school clubs - come and try!
The Music Service has many different musical clubs for younger musicians.
Clubs Try-Out Week is the perfect opportunity for your child(ren) to come along and join in! It’s a great way for them to experience the sessions in case they’d like to join in regularly from September.
If your child has recently started learning an instrument, the Music Service’s clubs are a great way to play with others in a group. You’ll need to bring your own instrument to the brass, strings and woodwind sessions.
If you don’t yet play an instrument, you might like to try one of the following (instruments provided or not required): PanVision (steelpan club), Percussion Club, Singing Club.
Simply complete the online sign-up form at the link below (all details of session dates and times are shown on the sign-up page), and we’ll see you at the club you choose!
