Autumn term parent consultations:
We hope to conduct these in either the week before of after the half term holiday. Arrangements will be shared with you nearer the time, including whether these will be actual meetings or virtual.
Staffing news:
Please welcome to our community Mr Fahim, who has joined our Premises team as a new Caretaker. He is an experienced caretaker who has worked previously in other schools. He joins the team to increase our capacity to manage our site.
We are happy to confirm that Mrs Jethwa has returned to our Premises team after a brief illness, and has resumed light duties to complement the roles of the other team members. It is good to welcome her back.
Our final change is to welcome back Ms Baron-Smith to our teaching team. She is supporting class 1B this year. Please join us is welcoming her return.
School organisation:
The details of school events and timetables will remain subject to change at short notice, whilst we are still in the pandemic emergency. We will share as much news as possible with you as the term unfolds, please be aware that most of our planning will be very fluid, as last minute adjustments and re-organisations will be necessary.
Playtime fruit:
Children in the Infant classes will continue to be offered fresh fruit daily, to supplement a healthy diet. If any Junior child wishes to bring in a piece of fruit for playtimes, they are welcome to do so. Please note that if there is any fruit left over each day it is usually offered to the Juniors in the coming day, as long as it is undamaged.
Personal stationery:
Children should not bring in any personal pencil cases or mark makers from home. All the children's needed stationery will be provided by the school.
Summer Learning projects:
We hope that each child has finished their summer learning project and we look forward to seeing what they have been up to. Please make sure your child brings this back to school in the first few days of term.
Winter flu inoculations:
The date for the children's winter flu inoculations has already been shared with you - they are scheduled for 25th November. More details will be shared with you nearer the time.
Summer successes:
We are please to share with you the following recent successes:
- Mrs Kilbey-Holmes has been awarded a first class Foundation degree, which she has studying for over the past two years. Well done, we are very proud of her.
- Miss Smith also successfully passed her Arts Foundation Degree in Special Educational Needs and Inclusive Practices. Congratulations!
- Finally - the school was awarded a special certificate from The School Games Organisation to recognise our ongoing commitment and achievement in the School Games Prrogramme during the Autumn and Spring Terms.
