Our school policy on Behaviour can be found on our website: http://www.geariesprimaryschool.co.uk/policies/
The contents describe how we promote good behaviour and communicate rules and responsibilities. Our policy on anti-bullying can be found inside, including references to how we respond to allegations. We recommend parents make themselves familiar with the options we use for managing instances of bullying.
We instruct the children to follow the 3-step approach as the first response to bad behaviour. This approach works very well and is appropriate for all ages. The children are very familiar with our procedures and are used to following them.
If a parent wishes to raise a concern about behaviour, including bullying, they are advised to:
- discuss their concerns with the class teacher
- provide as much information as they can to help us to investigate
The class teacher will follow up on any concerns raised and make a timely response once an investigation has been completed.
Parents are never to approach children directly, either physically or verbally, or to attempt to take matters into their own hands. There may be serious consequences for such behaviour. Please follow our procedures at all times and help us to keep the children happy and safe.
