Keeping safe in hot weather

Whilst the summer weather remains more typical of the time of year, we need to take precautions to protect the children from dehydration. You can help keep your child safe at school with the following recommendations:

  • apply suncream protection before your child comes to school
  • remind your child to drink plenty of water at regular intervals throughout the day – it is useful if you can provide your child with a personal water bottle
  • provide a cap or sun hat to protect their head
  • remind your child to spend some of their playtime resting in the shade
  • remind your child to avoid running around throughout the whole break time outside
