News update - 3/11/23

 Breast Cancer charity cake sale

Thank you to everyone who supported this week’s highly popular cake sales in support of the Breast Cancer Charity, organized by Ms Ekuban.  We are delighted to share with you the impressive total of £276.60, all monies will be donated to the charity to support the early diagnosis and treatment of this disease, as well as research and support for patients.  Thank you so much, this will really help.

Staffing news

Mrs Naeem will be returning to work after her maternity leave on Wednesday 8th November.  She will be working from Monday to Wednesday as the class teacher in class 2D.  Please join me in welcoming her back to work.  

Deadline – “Love in a Box”

Do not forget, if you are planning on making a donation for this charity appeal, the deadline is Monday.  Boxes should be brought into the school office, which will be collected on Tuesday.

Visit to the school by Wes Streeting MP

It is a delight to welcome back our local MP Wes Streeting to the school next week.  He will supporting our learning on UK Parliament week by taking assemblies with all year groups on Wednesday morning.  Our thanks to Rekha for co-ordinating the focus with the School Council.

Spring term INSET Days

The two remaining INSET days have now been agreed by the school:

1. Friday 12th January 2024 – a day to explore best practice in the Early Years

2. Friday 16th February 2024 – a day of SEND training to support inclusion in the classroom
