Avice on raising concerns

There may be times when, as a parent or carer, you have a concern about something in school.  The most direct, and also respectful way of dealing with this is to have a conversation with the member of staff concerned at a mutually convenient time.  We hope you will be able to resolve your matter amicably by following this advice.

If, afterwards, you are still not happy, by all means approach a member of SLT.  We are on duty at the school gates each day before we start, and in the playgrounds at the end of each day.

Please resist the temptation to write threatening emails before exploring informal channels.  Our complaints policy, published on our website, gives full guidance on what to do if you have exhausted informal routes.  Please remember, at all times, be polite to our staff and do not copy on previously written messages from others.  Chain emails will be ignored as unoriginal and therefore unreliable.
