We hereby confirm that Adam Ainley has been elected as the new parent governor and congratulate him on his success.  Our commiserations go to the other candidates and thank them both for their support of the school.  As you can see, the response has been incredibly high, our thanks to all the parents who took part in the election process.

We now look forward to working with Mr Ainley during his term of office.

Ofsted Readiness Review

We were visited by Richard Hunter, LA Consultant, on Tuesday, to conduct a review of the school’s readiness for an Ofsted inspection, on behalf of the local authority.  Our thanks to each member of staff who supported the day either with a lesson observation or with an in-person interview.  We are expecting the official report to be available by next week.

Initial feedback was highly complimentary for the school, we were described as unique and exemplary in our work.  We have been confirmed that we are indeed ready for Ofsted and are expected to retain the Outstanding rating when this happens.  This is very welcome news and a great affirmation of our practice.  Well done everyone, news to celebrate.

Coronation Day and Bank holiday

The date for the coronation of King Charles 3rd has been confirmed as Saturday 6th May 2023.  The government have confirmed that there will be an additional Bank Holiday on Monday 8th May to allow families to celebrate this historic event.  As a result, schools will be closed on the day.  We will re-open on Tuesday 9th May.

That week is expected to be the start of the Year 6 SATs tests, these are likely to begin on the Tuesday and finish on the Friday.
