The weather forecast for the coming week is promising a period of very hot temperatures. We obviously want to ensure the children are well looked after during this time. We will be following the following advice in school:
- before going to play class teachers will instruct their children to put on their sun hats, to protect thir heads from overheating and catching the sun
- teachers will instruct the children to spend some of their time resting in the playground in the shade
- we will all encourage the children to drink pleny of water, espcially after a PE lesson or playtime
- we will encourage anyone wearing a jumper or sweatshirt to hang it up for the day
- class teachers will keep their classroom fans on and windows open
If anyone is unwell after playtime or PE, we will check they are well hydrated and have had a rest.
Parents are reminded that we have summer unform options, including wearing shorts or a blue and white check dress. You may want to take advantage of this alternative.
Parents are also advised to apply sunscrean to children's arms, neck and face before childen set off for school.
