Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

Confirmation of plans to mark this historic event:

Each class will be learning a series of Jubilee themed lessons on Friday 27th May, including art work, letter writing, and the history of the queen

On Friday 27th May this will be a non-uniform day – children can wear red, white and blue clothing

We will be publishing a special Jubilee homework project shortly

There may also be a commemorative book for each child.  We hope to display some of the children’s learning in school after half term.

Discord

The following link gives guidance for parents on the use of Discord – an in-game chat facility.  We covered the dangers of unsupervised chat room conversations in the assemblies delivered by the 2 Johns just before Easter.  All parents are recommended to follow the link and learn about safe practice.

Staffing news

It is with much sadness we share with you that Mrs Marks will be retiring at the end of April after more than 30 years service to the school.  She has worked in the school for three decades as a midday assistant, she will be greatly missed.  We thank her for her dedication and commitment to our community.
