Newsround - 25th March 2022

Summer term 2022

Following a review of our Covid status, the following events and activities will be returning next term:

·       Class visits – year groups will be planning educational visits with the following caveats – they support learning in the current topic, they are local only, they should be a half day duration.  As soon as dates have been agreed, information will be shared with you.  

·       Sports Week – we will start to plan events for everyone to take part in, dates and details to be agreed later

·       The Pettifer Family Awards ceremony – this major end of year school event will return in July, details and what is involved will be confirmed shortly

·       Open classrooms – we will be setting a date towards the end of the term for parents to come into classrooms to review their children’s exercise books, the date will be confirmed shortly

·       Year Six Leavers’ assembly – this will be the only year group show at the end of term, to wish them well for the future, and to celebrate their time with us at Gearies.

·       The remaining Show and Tell assemblies will be organised for the summer term.  Parents will be invited to attend these.

 New fruit trees

Our thanks to the generosity of the Conservation Volunteers charity, who donated 4 fruit trees to the school.  The apple and pear trees have been planted by the Delivery entrance.  As you can see from the children in the photo, fun was had planting them.
