11+ exams

 Reminder of previous instruction:

This time of year, children are being invited to sit the selection exams for grammar schools.  The 11+ exam is popular with many of our families.  It is not unusual for children to be entered into more than one exam, however missing school for many days to do this will negatively affect the children's learning.  To reduce the impact of too much time being taken off for sitting exams please be mindful that:

  • Children should not take time off school to study for the 11+.  This should only be done after school and at weekends.
  • The school will authorise no more than three dates for attendance at exams, any further days taken will not be authorised.
Remember that the lessons in school are the children's main priority, taking too much time off school will harm children's learning and progress.
