Latest news from Redbridge on local infection rates:
- Local rates have dropped to 44 per 100,000, continuing the downward trend since our return to school, this is excellent news.
- The R rate in Redbridge is 0.87, compared to 1.25 in London and 1.18 in England. This shows how well the borough is doing compared to the other regions.
- Positive cases in schools though have risen, not surprisingly since 8th March. So far there have been 21 pupils in Primary schools registering positive since that date, spread over 13 schools.
Important reminder - if anyone in your household develops symptoms, the entire household needs to self-isolate. That person needs to book a PCR test immediately. Members of the household need to self-isolate until test results are received and may only go out again if the test result is negative. If the test is positive, the household must continue to self-isolate for 10 days unless further symptoms are shown.
If a child develops symptoms at the start of the Easter holiday, please inform the school by email, we will need to warn the rest of that child's class bubble to self-isolate until test results are confirmed.
