Covid-19 advice for the Christmas holidays

The school is open for the rest of the week, our last day of term is Friday 18th December, we close at the usual times.  The first day back to school in the spring term will be Monday 4th January 2021.

Over the Christmas break we still have a duty to provide track and trace support for the community, incase there are further instances of infection.  During the school holiday you need only notify the school office by email of a positive test if the symptoms appeared on the evening of Friday 18th or anytime on Saturday 19th , or anytime up to 4pm on Sunday 20th December.

If symptoms appeared from 4pm Sunday 20th onward, then the test and trace would be done by NHS.  It is important that you arrange for your child to be tested as soon as symptoms appear.  Do not order a home test but book an appointment at a local test centre as they will receive the results quickly.  You must notify the school as soon as possible if your child tests positive but you do not need to notify us if the test is negative.

If you are contacted by the school during the Christmas break to advise that your child has come into close contact with a positive testing case before the end of term, your child must self-isolate up to the date that we give you.

Please take care over the holidays, follow the government's guidance on safety precautions and help protect our community.
