Tree planting

Our thanks go to our friends at the Mayor of London's offices, in collaboration with Trees for Cities.  We received 10 free young Hawthorn trees this week from these organisation.  All have now been successfully planted in our grounds.  We look forward to watching them grow in the coming years until they reach their full height.

It was great to replace the specimens lost in the building works, and we hope these will enhance our grounds and the local environment.

Digging the hole                       The tree whip in the ground with supporting cane

We installed a protector around the cane and whip, and then watered in the specimen.

Job done - nailed it!!
