We are now approaching the last few weeks in this project before we open again in September. Most of the internal works are near completion and we are focussing on the completion of the extension.
Our main playground is being cleared of site contents so the resurfacing can begin. Here you can see our PE shed being relocated to its new home underneath the largest tree.
The extension to the kitchen is nearly finished. The room awaits the introduction of the new preparation units and doors. This is nearly ready. It looks like a strange scene from a science fiction film.
This is one of the new SEND support rooms.
The side wall in the Dance Hall is now ready. The hall awaits flooring and lighting, again nearly ready!
The classrooms on the first floor will be the new home of year five. They all have flooring now. Just waiting for lighting and the cupboards, coming next week.
One of the disabled toilets, nearly ready!
This is where Class 1W used to be, now completely removed and reverting back to the car park use. Interesting how there is almost no trace it was ever there.
A workman getting the roof to the Infant hall prepared for re-surfacing.
A view of the side of the extension from the top of the Infant roof. You can see the rear elevation almost finished now.

Most of the main extension has its "fur coat" on. This is the fire insulation that goes underneath the metal cladding. The last part is the final layer of cladding and window cowls. These are under manufacture and will mark the completion of the outside.

We are in the home straight now, progress is very rapid. Watch next week for more progress. It seems we are in a race to get this finished before the 4th September. Will we get there in time? Tune in for next week's instalment.
