Construction Diary: week fifty eight

The final week of the school holiday is nearly over and there is much work yet to be completed.

The window cowls being installed.

The cowls in place, now ready for the final layer of cladding.

One of the Working Walls in class 5D, nearly complete.  The space in the middle is where the Interactive White Board goes.  These are being installed later.

Class 5B - nearing completion.

An aerial view of the playground showing the areas that are due to have new tarmac.  This is expected to be ready before the children return.

Progress with preparing the flat roofs, ready for new surface.

The builders are working very hard to ensure the inside is ready for occupation on Wednesday.  The playground will still have two compounds to house the unfinished works, but the majority of the playground will be ready to play in from the start of term.  All of the internal works are now complete (new Head Teacher office, new medical room, new offices for the SLT, new Training room refurbishment).
The roofing works will take a few more months to complete.  The final installation of cladding and remaining works to the playground are due to be complete by half term.
