NEWS
School
Trips
We regret to announce that
the planned trip for children in the Year Two classes to Paradise Wildlife Park
has been cancelled due to lack of support.
A high number of families chose not to pay their contributions by the
indicated deadline and therefore the school was unable to meet the final
costs.
Please be aware that the
school is not in a financial position to subsidise class trips, as indicated in
the meeting held earlier this term.
Payments for educational
visits is voluntary, however we are not able to proceed with them unless
payments are received. Any family
experiencing financial difficulties making payments should make an appointment
to see the Head Teacher.
Staffing
News
We are pleased to confirm
we have all the class teacher posts filled for the next academic year. All planned movement, colleagues leaving and
joining the community next year, will be confirmed before the end of term.
We are still recruiting to
some of our support roles and expect to have suitable candidates appointed to
vacancies in the coming month.
At this point we are also
happy to confirm that Miss Fan (Year One leader and Maths SLE) has been
promoted to the role of Assessment Leader and Manager of the Teaching
School. She will assume this non class-based
role in September.
PTA
news
We are delighted to confirm
the PTA’s recent Easter Socials for the children were really successful. The children enjoyed themselves and the
profit for the events came to £950.88.
Thank you to the PTA for their hard work with the events and thank you
to everyone else who supported this.
The PTA’s focus for
fundraising is items for the new school playground. All monies will be used to fund seating and
exercise items in the new provision.
Plans are well developed
for the Annual Summer Fun Day, due to take place in the afternoon of Friday 5th
July. Details will be released
shortly.
