Christmas box appeal

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone for supporting our recent charity appeal to donate boxes of gifts for the Operation Christmas Child charity.  We have been delighted with the very generous response from across the school.  We can confirm this appeal is now closed and we are not able to take any more donations.

Since agreeing to support the parent charity - "The Samaritan's Purse", we have found out it has an evangelical mission for the communities they donate to.  This is obviously not what we wish to be supporting and have not passed on your donations as a result.

We have found a local alternative charity - "SMILE London and Essex", who support local families in crisis over Christmas.  They are based in Romford.  We now intend to send our collection to this charity instead.  We hope you agree with the decision.
