Our most sincere apologies, it was necessary to close the school this morning as there was a serious fault on the electricity supply coming into the school.
An emergency inspection by the electricity suppliers took place at 8:30am this morning and as a result all power was cut off whilst the fault was corrected. The power was cut at 8:35am and the decision to close the school was taken after a risk assessment was conducted between the Head Teacher and Chair of Governors. At that point we had no power, lighting, heating, door security, fire alarms, computers or telephones, and the school was not a safe place to continue to teach in.
We apologise for the inconvenience, however we put the children's safety first when making this decision, and we hope you appreciate the actions taken and why.
We can confirm the electricity has now been restored, we have checked our systems and all are back up and running properly now. We will be open as usual on Thursday.
