Reading Week

READING WEEK 

25th – 29th June 2018

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are excited to tell you that next week in Gearies we will be having a Reading Week. The aim of the week is to promote reading for pleasure and to learn about some high quality authors.

Throughout the week there will a number of activities in class that promote reading.  

From Tuesday 26th June – Monday 2nd July the Book Fair will be held after school in the Infant Hall between 3:15pm-4pm.  Please take the opportunity to visit with your children and buy a book or two. We look forward to seeing you there.

On Thursday 28th June we will be celebrating the theme of ‘Bedtime Stories’ by having asking children to come into school wearing their pyjamas.  This is of course optional, but should your child decide not to wear their pyjamas, then they will be expected to come in wearing their school uniform as usual.
