Fifty years on from Martin Luther King’s famous speech, food still connects us to people across the world. Let’s SIT DOWN FOR BREAKFAST and STAND UP FOR FARMERS!
On Friday 2nd February 2018 at 8.10am we are holding our ‘Big Fairtrade Breakfast 2018’ in the KS2 Hall to show our support for the people who grow our food and make sure that farmers get what they need to look after themselves, their families and the environment they live and work in.
Come and have a healthy breakfast with your children. The menu includes Fairtrade products to help raise awareness of Fairtrade amongst our community. Our breakfast items will include bread, jam, cereals, milk, fruit, tea and coffee.
Priced at just £1.00 each, tickets are on a first come, first served basis and are available by logging onto our school payment system, WisePay. There are 250 tickets available. The link to WisePay is on the home page of our website. Usernames and passwords have already been sent home to you. Please contact the office if you need help logging in.
We can only accept payment via WisePay, so please do not send money into school. Tickets are PER PERSON and NOT per family, so please buy enough tickets for you all to attend as breakfast will only be served to those that have a valid ticket. Sticker/s will be given out before the event, please make sure that you bring this along with you to show that you have bought a breakfast. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Entrance is via the Junior Playground.
This is a fantastic chance for us to get everyone to reflect on the importance of a good breakfast and the impact we have when we choose Fairtrade products.
