Children in Need

This year Gearies Primary School is again taking part in Children in Need which will be held on Friday 17th November 2017. We want to also support the school’s nominated charity, UNICEF on this day.

As the theme this year is Spotacular we would like to invite the children to wear something spotty on this day such as a spotty t-shirt, spotty trousers and spotty scarf. This is not a fancy dress day so children who do not want to wear something spotty must attend in school uniform. Children dressing up on this day must not bring in any accessories as they become a distraction during lesson time. If they bring in any accessories a member of staff will confiscate them until the end of the day.

There will be some activities planned. Each activity will cost 50p so if your child would like to participate please ensure they have some loose change with them. Opportunities to take part take part in the activities will be given at the end of Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th November, and throughout the day on Friday 17th November.  The money raised will be split between Children in Need and UNICEF.

If you have any questions please ask your child to speak to a member of the School Council as they will lead in running this event.
