News and events
Midday Assistants staffing news
Since our last newsletter, we are pleased to note that Mrs Mann has returned to work after a difficult illness.
Mrs Hydes has left the school after long service, due to poor health. We thank her for her dedication to our community and wish her well in the future.
Governance update
Since our last newsletter, Mr Nandha has resigned from our Board of Governors due to work commitments. We thank him for his brief service to the school and wish him well in his career. The Board will be looking to find a replacement for him in the near future.
One of our parent representatives, Mrs Wong, has also left the Board, as her term of office ran out on 1st November. She served the school well throughout her 4 year term of office and made a valuable contribution to our strategic thinking and accountability processes. Her input and support will be greatly missed. She will continue to support the school in her role in the PTA. Her departure means we now need to recruit a replacement. Nomination papers will be published shortly, please look for details on the noticeboards and blog, or ask Mr Drew in person.
School expansion
The local council has approved planning permission for the new building works and details of the final plans are being agreed with the architects. Due to this delay the process of going to tender, seeking interest from building companies to execute the plans, has also been put back. It is hoped these arrangements will be complete within the next five months and building works can finally begin in the spring 2018.
