News and events

Welcome back to the new school term.  We wish you and your families a happy new year, and look forward to working with you to meet our collective challenges for the rest of the school year.

Staff changes
We are delighted to welcome to the school workforce Miss Barnes and Mrs Gallagher, as Special Needs Practitioners.  They both joined the school workforce at the end of last term.
Also, at the end of last term, Mrs Ghattura resigned her position as a Midday Assistant for personal reasons.

Playtime snacks
Children in Junior classes are very welcome to bring in a healthy snack to eat at playtime.  This can include items such as fruit, vegetable sticks, and sultanas.  Unacceptable items include crisps, chocolate, sweets, energy bars or “fruit bars”.  Please take care to provide your child with a healthy balanced diet over the week.

“WhatsApp”
We are ware that many parents use the “WhatsApp” network to communicate with each other.  This can be helpful and supportive and help many of you to stay in touch.
The use of this App to discuss teachers and school activity can be harmful and we are aware some parents have used this to spread gossip and rumour, promoting personal grievances and complaints against members of staff.  This behaviour is unacceptable and if not stopped may be referred to the police as a form of online harassment.
Our complaints policy is available on the school website; we urge anyone who is not happy with an aspect of school practice to follow the guidelines detailed within it.
