The children have responded to the events in Paris in November. They created a specific prayer which was shared in our last Parent Values assembly:
" We have been discussing the recent tragic events on the news and around the world.
We didn't like what we saw or heard. It made us sad. So we would like to share our message of hope, peace and love.
We pray for protection from God. We pray he always makes us happy and makes he world a better place to live in.
We would like more peace in the world and for everyone to show kindness, love and respect to each other.
We want everyone in the world to unite together.
As the children of Gearies Primary school we promise to serve our community and be good positive role models in the future.
We know that good will always overcome the bad in the world.
Let us all stand shoulder to shoulder, with angels on our side and fill this world with light.
An finally, don't worry about a thing, because every little thing will be alright, with hope, peace and love."
