We have been advised that the London Borough of Redbridge are no longer sending out information to parents about how to apply for a secondary school place for their children that are currently in Year 6. Therefore we thought it would be useful to let you know how to apply for a secondary school as there is a strict deadline by which you must submit your application.
Applications for your child’s secondary school place must be done online via the London Borough of Redbridge website. Please visit www.redbridge.gov.uk and click the ‘Schools’ tab at the top of the page which will take you to where you can register to begin your application.
The deadline to submit your application is Saturday 31st October 2015. If you apply after this date then you risk your child not being awarded your preferred choice of school for Year 7, or potentially not being awarded a school at all.
Assistance is available to you from the One Stop Shop at Lynton House, High Road, Ilford. However, please be advised that this now operates on an appointment only system and you will have to register on the Redbridge website to access the appointment facility.
