Team London Schools Award:
“My Community”

You will recall the school has recently been awarded the prestigious Team London Award for "My Community", recognising the hard work engaged with over last year supporting the local community. Over 70 schools from across London were nominated for the Team London Awards and only 6 were announced as winners. This award is in recognition for our “inspirational social action projects” over the year. These included the projects to reduce food waste in school, support for the local Food Bank, book recycling and work on our Cultural Charter. Our thanks go to Mr Lea, Ms Holmes and Mr Drew Jnr. for leading on these projects with our Cultural Trust and the Woodbine Centre, amongst others.
The Cultural Trust team attended the award ceremony at City Hall on Monday, to collect the trophy from the London Mayor. The children enjoyed the experience. We are very proud to receive the award, which is on display in the school's reception area.
