Spring term Parent Consultations

The arrangements for this term’s Parents’ consultations are as follows.  We have organised two dates for you to meet with your child’s class teacher:

Friday 13th February 2015

Please note that on this day there will be no lessons in school.  The day has been devoted to holding meetings with parents and carers.  This is an official school closure day.  Normally such days are used for staff training but this one will be used to consult with parents.

Class teachers will be available from 8.00am to 4.00pm in their classes to talk about children’s progress and ways forward.  Please speak to your child’s class teacher to book an appointment.  The school will be taking a break for lunch between 12.00 and 1.00pm, no appointments will be held at this time.

Wednesday 25th February 2015

An additional time has been made available for you to meet if you are not able to attend on the previous date.  The teachers will be available in their classrooms between 3.30 and 5.00pm.

On both days please enter the school building by the Waremead Road entrance.

Parents and carers are recommended to meet with their children’s teachers on one of these dates.  It is the most important meeting of the year, the children’s progress to date will be shared and new objectives for the children will be passed on to you.  Your child’s education is a partnership between home and school.  Communication of information is very important to ensure we work together for your child’s success in school.  The most successful learners are those who are supported by their parents at home.

Other support being provided on the day:

We will be asking all parents to complete a short questionnaire before or after their appointments.

We hope to be able to have support from governors during the day who will be around to discuss how the Board of Governors supports the school.  Our caterers, ISS, will also be available to discuss school dinners.

Mr Drew, Mrs Tomlinson and Ms Billen will also be available throughout the day in their offices.
