Come and Play! at the Barbican Arts Centre

On Saturday 18 October, Barbican and Southbank Centre will be working together to present a free day of inspirational music making and new discoveries for young instrumentalists, their families and music teachers.

Alongside drumming, creative music making, ensemble and vocal workshops, participants can come and find out about the Young Orchestra For London, a once-in-a lifetime opportunity to join an ensemble of young musicians that will form part of the Berliner Philharmoniker’s London residency in February 2015. The project will culminate with the great conductor Sir Simon Rattle leading this orchestra in two landmark performances at the Barbican and Royal Festival Hall.
