All parents and carers are warmly invited to attend the following special events to celebrate the Christmas festival:
NATIVITY
The Reception classes will be presenting their version of the Nativity story, with songs. This will take place in the KS1 school hall, access through the main playground, on Monday 16th December at 2.30pm. Please be aware this is a short show and if you are late you may well miss your child's performance.
Key Stage One Christmas show – “A Christmas Tail”
Our annual KS1 Christmas show is a festive musical and will be presented by the children in the Key Stage One classes. Parents of children in Year One should attend the performance on Tuesday 17th December, which will start at 2.10pm. Parents of children in Year Two should attend the performance on Wednesday 18th December at 9.30am. Both shows will take place in the KS1 school hall, access as usual through the main playground. Please be aware this performance is not suitable for very young children due to its length.
Key Stage Two Christmas show – “Mr Humbug sees the light”
Our annual Junior Christmas show will be presented by the children in the Key Stage Two classes. This is a festive musical based on the Scrooge story. Parents of children in Years 3 and 4 should attend the performance on Wednesday 18th December, which will start at 2.00pm. Parents of children in Years Five and Six should attend the performance on Thursday 19th December at 9.15am. Both shows will take place in the KS2 school hall, access as usual through the main playground. Please be aware this performance is not suitable for very young children due to its length.
CAROL SERVICE
The school's annual Carol Service will be taking place on Thursday 19th December. Please note that this year the service will take place in the Gants Hill Methodist Church, in Gantshill Crescent. You may take your seats from 6pm and the service will begin at 6.30pm. Entrance is via the doors in Gantshill Crescent. There will be choral performances of Carols from children and staff, our recorder club will perform and there will be Bible readings and prayer from staff, governors and a special guest from the church.
Friday 20th December
Last day of term - the school will close at the usual times.
Non-uniform day - children can come to school dressed in non-uniform – and if doing so should bring in £1 to contribute to the school fund, which will be used to buy more books for the children to use in class
9.05am and 2.45pm - Assemblies to say farewell to Mrs Hadley, held in the KS1 hall – parents are welcome to attend.
